Allan continues to pursue his lifelong love of music and enjoys performing with The O’Jays whenever they are in the area.

Before founding AJ Ross, Allan built his career as a session and touring musician, performing at premier venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall. A multi-instrumentalist, he played saxophone, flute, and clarinet across Broadway productions, film and television scores, and national advertising campaigns.

Dancin’, Barnum, and Hey Ma.
Campaigns for: Century 21, Pepsi, McDonald’s, IBM, and other national brands.
1972
Graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Performance. Moved to Miami, Florida, to start his professional musical career, and where he met his wife Linda, a former Eastern Airlines flight attendant.
1974
The couple relocated to New York City, where Allan began building his professional career in music and advertising.
1984
Harnessing his creative energy and passion for music, Allan founded AJR Music Productions, a highly successful music, television, and radio production company headquartered in New York City. Working with world renown studio musicians, singers and artists, The company wrote, scored, directed, and produced advertising jingles and theme music for nationally recognized Advertising agencies and brands including:
Gallo Wine, Cartoon Network, NBC Sports, CNN, Crystal Light, Century 21, Freihofer’s, Kodak and Turner Classic Movies.
1991
AJR Music Productions became a division of what is now AJ Ross Creative Media, a full-service marketing, advertising, and design agency located in Orange County, NY, in the heart of the Hudson Valley.
Beyond his work in the agency, Allan maintains a strong commitment to community service, serving on the Board of United Way of the Dutchess and Orange Region and as a past member of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, where he and his team participated on several advisory committees. He has also served on the Marketing Committee for the Westchester County Association and the International Trade Board, reflecting a continued dedication to making a meaningful impact in the communities where he lives and works.
